Three sheet oban size triptych, of the ‘Attack at Niuzhuang’ (Yinkou) by Kobayashi Kiyochika (1847-1915). The Battle of Yinkou was a battle of the First Sino-Japanese War between Meiji Japan and Qing China, fought outside the treaty port town of Yingkou, Manchuria. It is sometimes referred to as the Battle of Niuzhuang or Newchwang.
