The most decorative c.19th map solely devoted to the Australian mainland by John Tallis. Superbly embellished a with decorative border surround, vignettes depicting; a view of Sydney looking towards Fort Macquarie (Bennelong Point), kangaroos, parrots and aborigines. This map was produced at the start of the gold rushes.
