[AUSTRALIA-NT] Chart of Terra Australis by M. Flinders Comm.r. of H.M.S. Sloop Investigator 1802-3. Corrections by Comr. Stokes 1841.

Description

Scarce British Admiralty Hydrographic chart of the Gulf of Carpentaria by Matthew Flinders which was first issued in 1814.

There was large corrections made to the chart in February 1866 and December 1868 and this edition has minor corrections made in 1885. The chart extends from Endeavour Strait to Arnhem Bay showing the tracks of Matthew Flinders, Investigator, 1802-1803 and Cumberland in 1803.
