Scarce early issue of this hydrographic chart extending from Cape Jervis to Guichen  Bay, South Australia, surveyed by Navg. Lieut. F. Howard, R.N. Assisted by Navg. Sub Lieut.t. W.N.Goalen, R.N. 1870-1.

First issued in 1872 with corrections made Feb. 1873 and smaller corrections II.74. Printed on two sheets as issued.

Note: The chart was revised from the new surveys made in 1901 which extended the chart further south, from 37° 10′  to 38° to include Guichen Bay.
