Two portraits of Australian aborigines based on Nicholas Petit’s engravings issued in the Baudin voyage account.
1. Bottom: Paraberi. Portrait of a man from Bruny Island.
2. Top: Young man probably from Partridge Island (between Bruny Island and the mainland) with red ochre coloured hair and extensive scarring to shoulders. (14 January 1802.)
