Description
Large scale c.18th map of Africa first issued by De L’Isle in 1722 and here updated by Dezauche. The map id divided into kingdoms and tribes with an elaborate title cartouche at top left and oval shaped advertisement at lower right. Embellished with a Rococo title cartouche at upper left and an ornate advertisement at lower left. Dezauche was Buache’s son-in-law, and the successor to the Delisle business.
