French version of George Willian Evans separately issued large chart, Chart of Van Diemen’s Land From the best Authorities and from Surveys, published in 1822.
The map with all place names in French, shows the area between Port Dalrymple and Storm Bay, the headwaters of both the Tamar and Derwent rivers and the road between Launceston and Hobart. It shows the districts within which lands were granted in County Buckingham in the south. It also shows the lands granted surrounding the Tamar River and North Esk in the north of the island. No inland information is hsown on the western half of the islan
