First edition of this rare map of the Caspian Sea by one of the most important and influential French cartographers of the C18th, Jean Baptiste Bourguignon d’Anville. The shores of the lake are shared by Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan.
