Description
A reduced German issue of the earliest, of two plans of Sydney made by Charles Lesueur in 1808. Oriented with north to the right, it includes an extensive key with thirty eight buildings and points of interest. The plan was made while the Baudin expedition visited Sydney and the recording of sensitive military information and plans of the city and harbour by the French was noted nervously by the British.
