Description
Wonderful c.20th magic poster advertising Chang and Fak Hong’s Japanese Review.
Chang used the stage name of the Great Chang, a magician who frequently shared the bill with other Asian illusionists, in this show with Fak-Hong.
Chang was the stage name of Juan Pablo Jesorum (1889-1972), a native of Panama who had learned magic as an assistant and translator for The Great Raymond. Jesorum began his solo career in 1913 as The Great Pablo, then later as Li-Ho Chang and still later simply as Chang. Although he toured all over the world with his magic show, it was in South America where he found his greatest success, best known for his presentation of Shooting A Bullet Through A Woman, an illusion also performed by Carter the Great.
