Exquisite drypoint of the Moor’s Gate, Granada, Spain by Lionel Lindsay (1874-1961), signed in pencil lower left and numbered AP (artist proof) number 26.
A drypoint is a printmaking technique in which a design is drawn directly onto a metal plate with a sharp, pointed needle-like instrument, The technique is similar to engraving., the difference is in the use of tools, and that the raised ridge along the furrow is not scraped or filed away as in engraving.
