Description

“The soldiers were very clever in constructing temporary litters for the conveyance of the wounded where the regular ambulance corps of the Japanese army had not yet arrived . These litters were made entirely of bamboo, and afforded an easy method of bringing the wounded into camp.” Drawn from Life by our Special Artist with the Japanese Forces in Corea.
