First edition of this superb lithograph of present day, Sydney Conservatorium. As with so many French voyages before him, Captain Jules Dumont D’Urville stopped at Sydney and his officers and crew spent time sightseeing.

Rare first issue identified by the name J.Tastu, Editeur lower left and the embossed stamp at lower sheet edge, ‘Voyage de L’Astrolabe J.Dumont D’Urville Commandant. J.T.’
