Rare c.18th engraved map of the Cook Islands from the official British Admiralty sanctioned edition of the accounts of Cook’s third and final voyage.

Map of three Cook Island maps, charted by Captain Cook at the end of March and April 1777 while sailing from Queen Charlotte Sound, New Zealand to the Friendly Islands (Tonga). Also includes Tubuai, discovered by Cook on 8 August 1777, on the voyage to Otaheite from the Friendly Isles.
